ROAD RIDE-220 mile curvy tour of N.GA and N.C.

All Pavement, this longer road ride will take you on some amazing roads both in north Ga and North Carolina. Some local secrets, some classics you may have ridden, but they are all pretty epic. Going up hwy 60, arguably one of the best roads in n.ga will take you all the way up into North Carolina where you will enjoy some really nice back-country two-lanes towards Andrews, NC. Then you will head over to Aska Rd. Trust me when i say this is one of those roads you will not soon forget about. Fresh pavement, fast sweepers, tight switchbacks, and gorgeous views abound.
From there you will meander your way over through Franklin and Highlands. There is a little Grocery store in highlands called Mountain Fresh Grocery. They have AWESOME food and a great atmosphere. Worth a stop if your hungry at that point. It isn't on the route... when you get into Highlands just continue on Main Street Through town. It'll be on your right after you get through downtown Highlands.
After Highlands you will enjoy a wonderful section of hwy 28 (also arguably one of the best roads in the area) and down war woman road and into Clayton. Warwoman Road is also what moto dreams are made of. Hwy 76 will take you over to the west side of Lake Burton where you go south on hwy 197... a great piece of road, just watch out for trucks pulling boats.
You aren't done with the curves quite yet. After you get through Helen you'll go over Richard B. Russell scenic Highway and back across 180 to the campground. This will most likely be an all-day ride and there will be plenty of spots to stop and take in the view along the way. Enjoy!
