It takes 40 miles of pavement to get to the Withlacoochee/Green Swamp area from Orlando, but once there you're deep into the Florida woods and swamp. You'll enter from the east on a hard pack sand road that is easy riding but can get difficult depending on the weather. Trails running off the main road going north and south and are worth exploring. If its dry you'll be challenged with sugar-sand and if its the wet season.... you may want to have help. The area is low so it doesn't take much rain to get muddy, and deep. But if you stick with the GPX route you should be fine if your riding 650's or less. There's good BBQ in the Dade Cityarea. Then you turn around and do it all over again. Sun, Swamp, Snakes
