The original idea of the Suwannee 200 came about when I was reading someone's post on the Smoky Mountain 250/500. I started thinking about what area of North Florida would provide some challenging roads/trails along with some interesting scenary. The area around the Suwannee River valley immediately came to mind. The original S200 consisted of 198 miles total with 118 miles of dirt roads and trails.
The New and IMPROVED Suwannee 200. Same area, all new roads... mostly. 200 miles total, 140 miles of dirt roads and trails in Hamilton, Suwannee, Madison and Columbia Counties. Big bikes, small bikes, plenty of gas stations are available. Lots of sand, very little mud. The route is entirely public roads, so you will need DOT off-road tires, a license plate, and a driver license.
