Trans-Calimani track between Toplita (Harghita county) and Vatra Dornei (Suceava county) The rout starts at a gas station in Toplita an ends in the center of Vatra Dornei The track is 85 km long with a 60 km off road section which can be done on enduro or adventure bikes. Via the rout you can encounter wildlife( be aware! Bears and wolfs are common in the region), you will pass via the Iezer lake, the Recitis Meteo Station and the an open Sulph mine which was shut down after the fall of the communist regime.
